Usually you would host your Web Site and Email at the same ISP as your Hi-Speed Internet Connection from.
If your company is large enough that it needs a Server, then it might be large enough to have its own Email-Server.
Even over hi-speed, sending and receiving high volumes of email or emails with attachments can take a few minutes
and slow your computer down or make the user un-productive for those periods. An Email-Server is a program that runs
on your Server and is the focal point for all Email. This way you are sending and receiving all email to your Server
which makes it almost instantaneous. It filters internal emails so that you do not need to load/maintain a separate
email program such as MS Mail. An Email-Server also has extra Anti-Virus and Spam controls that are customizable.
